A Third-Grade Celebration of South Carolina History and Culture at Hammond School in Columbia

Something a little different this time. A program that combines South Carolina’s interesting places and interesting people.

Last month I had the opportunity to learn that South Carolina history still is being taught in our schools. In this case, courtesy of the third grade at Hammond School in Columbia.

Each year Hammond’s third grade students present an extensive South Carolina history-related program for parents, grandparents, and friends. Describing some of the things they’ve learned about their State over the school year. Here’s a brief look at this year’s performance. Enjoy.
